One quality of a championship fighter is that they stay humble and know that now they are on top that they have to work even harder to stay there.
Caio Terra has the career and pedigree that many younger fighters want. It is not a surprise that he gets many questions, whether it is from the media or other fighters about his training methods. He wanted to be able to answer the questions and give his fans a little glimpse of his methods so Caio put together this short video on how he trains.
As you watch the video it is interesting to see how much work he puts into such a short amount of time. The Versa Climber is a huge part of his routine, and the way he combines it with intervals of sparring is probably one of the reasons for his great cardio.
I am sure this video is just a glimpse of his training routine, but it is a good method for younger fighters to follow. Keep in mind that you don’t have to have access to a gym or Versa Climber to train. There are many training exercises you can do in your home; it is more important how you train versus where you train. It is always beneficial to have a great instructor of course, and the seminars that Caio Terra offers are packed with great tips.
If you are looking for other great tips, or training videos YouTube is a great resource as Caio and many other fighters have training videos and videos of their matches that you can pick up fighting strategies from. What are some of the training methods you find most useful? Is there an instructor that gave you really good tips, and what were they?
