Alvis Solis is a very studied & disciplined student to multiple martial art forms. Along with his inspiring BJJ reputation, he is well versed in Jeet Kune Do concepts, Dog Brother martial arts, & kickboxing.
Solis is a first-degree black belt under Carlos Machado (Machado: 8th degree red & black belt under his cousin, Carlos Gracie Jr). Alvis is a four time Pan-American Champion & runs a martial arts school in Humble, Texas.
The school, Solis Martial Arts Academy, was founded in 1997 & was the first school in Texas to implement children-specific BJJ classes. Over this past weekend, Solis competed in a ‘superfight’ against Todd Pisarich of Mississippi. This was Alvis’s final match; he retired from competition with the win over Pisarich.
We at DOM would like to say congrats to Mr. Solis on the final win & thank you for your impressive years of entertaining competition! We look forward to watching your school’s continued growth & seeing your students succeed under your respected tutelage!
