Ufc on Fox

With the record-breaking viewer numbers of the first prime-time presentation for UFC in November 2011, fight spectators waited in anticipation for this past weekend’s UFC on Fox debut. In November, over 9 million viewers tuned in to the vastly publicized, title-baring match…all 64 seconds of it. This past weekend, while exciting for those hard-core UFC fans, was not nearly as impressive as the November ticket. There was no title to be won, no two fighters were so great a name to carry vast fan support, there was no illustrious ethnic appeal drawn in by any one fighter, & most importantly the freshness of the “first time” was no longer there. While rating numbers do not have to be as strong as those cast by the November match, anticipation for competitive ratings of the January 28th debut were high. The 2 hours of fights between 8-10pm hosted 4.37 million viewers between the ages of 18-49, easily winning the highest ratings for the hours of broadcasting.

IBJJF Worlds California 2011

Monday, June 13th, 2011

Howdy Sports fans–

Greetings from California, where Dom just broke another sales record at the IBJJF WORLD JUJITSU COMPETITION!!

We were there with the boys from Keiko, Red Nose, ATAMA, Budo and Koral– what a trip!

We stayed at the Hilton, which is always good to us- and are now rolling out of Yuma into Phoenix. Long road. You know what they say about the road to the top….

Nothing is easy that’s worth having. In relationships, jujitsu and building companies, that’s the gospel, baby.

I didn’t want to travel as much as I do to build this Company– neither did Zig or BG– but that’s just not an option if you really want to be the best. Our wives and families were 110% behind building this Dom FIGHT GEAR empire and there’s no way we could have done it without them holding down the fort. Thank you, fabulous chicks and amazing kids.

World was NUTS man. There were 15,000 people there– and Dom was new to at least 1/2 of them. They welcomed us the way they did at Pan Ams, and we are forever grateful to you all. We couldn’t keep up, and the new DMX II 2.5 lb gis were huge, along with The Gi Jackets/hoodies. We did our best to make the best, coolest stuff we could for you– and you returned the favor by buying it. Thank you. Thank you.

Men, let your women breathe and do what they are called to do. Women, you do the same. It’s ok to trust each other. Life is too short.
