On Friday, October 21 XFC returns to Orlando Florida to hold a jam packed night of MMA. The event is titled XFC 14: Resurrection. The fights will be aired live on HDNet starting at 9pm. The event is being held at the University of Central Florida (UCF) main campus inside the UCF arena. Headlining this event is Nate Jolly vs. Jamie Varner. Also featured in this action packed night is the return of Marianna Kheyfets engaging in battle with Molly Helsel. The most anticipated fight of all is DOM sponsored Nicolae Cury vs. Elijah Harshbarger.

Nicolae “the destroyer” Cury is 31 years old and stands 6’1″ tall. He has a combined record of 5-2 and fights for American Top Team in Coconut Creek, Fl. In his past 4 fights Cury is 3-1. His loss came courtesy of Luis Santos in May at Bellator 45. Out of his five wins, four of them have came via 1st round submission. He has several accomplishments within BJJ and I look for him to utilize what he does best against his opponent Elijah Harshbarger.

Elijah Harshbarger is fighting out of Woodbridge, Va and has a collected record of 6-3. He is 29 years old and stands at 5’11″. In his past three fights Elijah is 1-2. The two losses came from notable opponents Pete Sell and Ben “Killa B” Saunders. Out of his 6 victories, five of them came from his slick submissions. Giving both of these guys background, I think we are in for a ground skills battle. If either of these guys walk away with a KO instead of a submission I think everyone will be surprised.
