While Dana White may not be happy with the ticket sales that UFC on FX 3 brought in while in Florida this past Friday night, I think MMA fans had plenty to be happy about.
Whether you are a Mighty Mouse fan or an Uncle Creepy fan- that was a fight worth watching. There were great moments in the preliminary fights & on the main stage for Friday’s card. It will be interesting to see what happens at the title fight against Johnson & Benavidez, whenever that fight may be.
Maybe married life will treat Johnson well & he will not slack off during his training for his shot at the first UFC flyweight championship. As far as UFC in Florida goes, if White has his way it will be many years before they make a return to the Sunshine State. Personally, I see it as no surprise that the UFC has a hard time selling tickets in an area that is primarily populated by retirees & the elderly. Congrats to the bonus winners of the night: Pyle with “Knockout”, Silva with “Submission”, & Wineland vs. Jorgensen with “Fight of the Night”.
